Mr. P Brawl Stars Guide: Best Build, Modes & Teammates

Mr. P rewards players who want to use porters to control the map. This guide covers the general build, favourable modes, draft partners, counters, and the decisions that make the kit work.

Best Teammates

Mr. P is strongest when teammates exploit the ammunition his porters consume and protect him from aggressive brawlers. These five pairings add front-line presence, control, and finishing damage. The cards below link to the selected teammate guides and will appear automatically as those guides are published.

  • Larry & Lawrie — Lawrie joins the porters in exhausting enemy ammo while Larry adds stronger area damage behind the same layer of moving targets.
  • Ash — Ash advances while opponents spend shots on porters, building Rage and protecting Mr. P from close-range pressure.
  • Sandy — Sandy’s sandstorm conceals the porter spawner and the team’s positioning, making the repeated summon pressure harder to dismantle.
  • Otis — Otis silences divers who reach Mr. P and controls a lane while the porters steadily force opponents backward.
  • Lou — Lou slows enemies and holds fixed areas while porters approach, making it difficult to dodge control and clear every summon at once.

Choose Mr. P when your composition can support its main win condition: use porters to control the map. Patient positioning and coordinated pressure matter more than chasing every elimination.

Best Modes and Maps

Mr. P is most comfortable in objective modes where positioning and repeatable team fights matter, including Gem Grab, Brawl Ball, Hot Zone, Knockout, or Bounty depending on the current rotation. Prioritise maps that support the kit’s preferred range and give safe cover without blocking its main pressure tool.

Best Build

Recommended general build: Porter Reinforcements Gadget, Revolving Door Star Power, Pet Power Gear, and Super Charge Gear, with Super Porters! Assemble! Hypercharge. This maximizes Mr. P’s ongoing objective pressure. Swap to Service Bell and Handle With Care when opponents focus the base too quickly.

Gear 1 — Pet Power

Increase pet damage by 20%.

Why it works: Mr. P’s porters are a constant second damage source, so the bonus applies throughout the fight.

Gear 2 — Damage

Deal 15% more damage while Mr. P is below 50% health.

Why it works: Mr. P often takes chip damage during long-range exchanges. Damage Gear helps him win those exchanges and finish enemies weakened by his bouncing suitcases and porters.

Alternatives: Use Shield for safer long-range lanes, Vision on bush-heavy maps, or Gadget Charge when an additional gadget activation offers more value.

Build Options: Gadgets, Star Powers & Hypercharge

Gadget — Porter Reinforcements

Mr. P’s base immediately spawns a stronger wave of porters.

When to use it: Use it when a contested objective needs bodies immediately or just before the base would be removed.

Gadget — Service Bell

Mr. P improves the survivability of his porter base and porters.

When to use it: Choose it against teams that repeatedly chip down the base before it can create pressure.

Star Power — Revolving Door

Mr. P’s base spawns porters more frequently.

When to use it: This is the default for objectives where porters have a safe route to keep contesting.

Star Power — Handle With Care

Mr. P’s suitcase bounces beyond the first target after reaching maximum range.

When to use it: Pick it on longer, walled lanes where suitcase bounces can pressure targets behind cover.

Hypercharge — Super Porters! Assemble!

Mr. P’s Hypercharge increases porter pressure by deploying a stronger, faster wave from the base.

When to use it: Activate it before an important objective push, not after the fight has already been lost.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

  • The kit is designed to use porters to control the map.
  • Can create a clear advantage when teammates act on the same opening.
  • Flexible enough to contribute through positioning even when an immediate elimination is unavailable.

Weaknesses

  • Loses value when forced into unfavourable range or terrain.
  • Poor ammo discipline can leave the Brawler unable to answer a dive.
  • Uncoordinated teammates may fail to convert the space or utility the kit creates.

Counters and Common Mistakes

Opponents that outrange Mr. P, close distance safely, or deny its main ability can force awkward fights. Avoid wasting all ammo on low-percentage shots, entering without an exit route, and using a Super before teammates are ready to follow.
