Survival Across the Floating World of Tycos
Humanity’s furthest colony has collapsed, leaving scattered technology and unanswered questions across the airborne wilderness of Tycos. You begin by gathering scrap, processing resources and learning how the planet’s unusual ecosystems work. Every expedition must balance discovery against fuel, equipment and the safety of your route home.
The Early Access build opens two major regions and is designed to grow through feedback. Apog Labs plans to add the final region, expand base building and complete the story as development continues toward version 1.0.
ATMOSFAR Early Access Gameplay Features
Pilot Specialised Flying Craft
Wasps are more than transport. Different craft support exploration, cargo hauling and combat, so crews can choose vehicles around the task ahead. Physics-based flight makes navigation part of the survival challenge, especially when weather, terrain and limited resources complicate a clean return.
Build a Mobile Airbase
The Cloud Cruiser travels with you and acts as a persistent base above the islands. Expand its facilities, organise equipment and turn recovered materials into new tools and upgrades. Because the base moves, progression is tied to exploration instead of one permanent settlement.
Travel Solo or in Four-Player Co-op
A lone Vagabond can manage the full expedition, while online groups can divide responsibilities between piloting, scavenging, building and protection. Coordinated crews should benefit from bringing complementary craft and planning what the shared base needs before leaving safe airspace.
Who Is ATMOSFAR For?
Players who enjoy Raft-style mobile bases, survival crafting and cooperative expeditions should watch this closely. The focus on aircraft also gives it a distinctive rhythm for anyone who wants exploration to feel different from walking across another familiar map.
Pro Tip
Treat fuel and storage as mission limits, not afterthoughts. Before flying toward a distant island, leave room for valuable salvage and mark a safe return route. In co-op, agree on the expedition’s main objective so the crew does not waste capacity on low-priority materials.
