RetroSpace — Story and Concept

Humanity’s Aurora fleet is searching for a new home when one station falls into a black hole and begins jumping between time periods. A nameless janitor becomes the last person capable of untangling the catastrophe, assuming the station’s mutants, security systems and cloning failures do not finish the job first.

Core Gameplay Features

Solve Problems Your Way

Sneak past danger, hack station systems, lure enemies into traps or fight directly. Interconnected environments allow several solutions to the same obstacle, rewarding experimentation instead of prescribing a single correct route.

Mutate with Unpredictable Consequences

Mutamods can enhance combat, stealth, movement and exploration, but upgrades may bring side effects. Character growth therefore becomes a trade-off between useful power and the increasingly strange person emerging from the cloning system.

Explore the Interconnected Aurora 5

The station contains shortcuts, hidden spaces and alternate paths linked to a calmer central hub. Death produces another clone rather than a conventional ending, but recovering lost equipment and managing degeneration make each return part of the story.

Who Is This For?

RetroSpace is for players who enjoy immersive sims, systemic stealth, survival horror and science fiction with a strong visual identity. It should particularly appeal to anyone who wants problems that can be hacked, avoided, trapped or blasted apart.

Pro Tip

Treat security systems as tools before treating them as hazards. Cameras, environmental dangers and hostile routes can often be redirected against enemies, saving ammunition and revealing a safer path through the station.
