The Story / Concept

It was a peaceful day on the farm until a giant alien beam yoinked Dodo’s chicken family into the sky. Armed with nothing but a waddle, a will, and a very special cap gifted by Capie the Capybara, Dodo dives into a glitched dimension to bring them home. What starts as a lighthearted rescue mission grows into a surprisingly heartfelt journey about a clumsy duck finding where he belongs.

Core Gameplay Features

  1. 2D/3D perspective flipping — Use Capie’s magical cap to swap between side-scrolling and third-person view at will.
    • Swapping perspectives reveals hidden paths and surprise platforms in every level
  2. Physical, expressive movement — Glide over gaps, splash through water, float, flop, and improvise your way through puzzles.
    • There’s a dedicated quack button, because of course there is
  3. Planet-hopping exploration — Travel between odd, adorable planets, each stranger than the last.
    • Collect stardust to buy new caps from Capie and uncover secret routes along the way

Who Is This For?

With family-friendly tone and an easy learning curve, Dodo Duckie is a great fit for younger players and anyone looking for a light, charming puzzle platformer to unwind with. The perspective-shifting mechanic also gives it enough depth to hold the attention of more experienced puzzle fans.

Pro Tip: A free demo is available on Steam if you want to try the 2D/3D swapping mechanic before buying — it’s a great way to see if the perspective puzzles click with you.
